Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you grant COSMOPOLITAN Sri Lanka a worldwide, royalty‑free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform and display such content in all media now known or hereafter developed for the duration of applicable rights.

• Model/Photo Releases: For identifiable persons or private property, you must provide signed model/photo/property releases and maintain a verifiable chain‑of‑title for commissioned work.
• License Types: Submissions may be accepted on an exclusive or non‑exclusive basis; any exclusive grant must be explicitly stated in writing.
• Contests/Sweepstakes: Entrants agree that entries may be licensed or, where stated in the rules, assigned to COSMOPOLITAN Sri Lanka and our licensors. Additional contest rules will apply.

If you believe content on our website infringes your copyright, please send a notice to privacy@cosmopolitanlk.com with: (1) your contact details; (2) identification of the copyrighted work; (3) the URL of the allegedly infringing material; (4) a statement of good‑faith belief; and (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf. We may remove or disable access to the content and, when appropriate, terminate repeat infringers.

• Pre‑Publication Review: For high‑risk stories, we conduct source verification, maintain supporting evidence, attempt right‑to‑reply, and obtain editor/legal sign‑off.
• Corrections/Retractions: We correct significant errors promptly and publish clarifications or retractions where warranted. Concerns can be sent to the Editorial Office via the contact page.

• Style Guide & Mandatory Review: Editors and contributors follow an internal style guide and a sensitivity checklist for religion, ethnicity, gender, disability, and other protected characteristics before publication.
• Respect & Non‑Discrimination: Content must avoid hate speech, incitement, and discriminatory language and should provide balanced context for sensitive topics.
• Named Reviewer/Ombudsperson: A designated reviewer oversees sensitivity concerns. Complaints can be submitted via the contact page or email privacy@cosmopolitanlk.com.
• Corrections & Retractions: We will correct or retract content that falls short of these standards, consistent with our Editorial Standards & Corrections policy.
• Local Compliance: Content complies with applicable Sri Lankan laws and local content standards in addition to our global editorial guidelines.

• Labeling: Sponsored, paid partnership, or advertorial content is clearly labeled. Native ads are distinguished from editorial content.
• Affiliate Links: We may earn commissions from links to retailers. This does not influence editorial selection or reviews; disclosures appear near such content.
• No Editorial Interference: Advertisers and affiliates have no control over editorial decisions or outcomes.
• Compliance: We follow applicable advertising and consumer‑protection standards in Sri Lanka and, where relevant, UK/EU guidance.
